River Street: it’s one of the spots in Savannah’s that’s known the best.

It’s full of history, character, and tradition, and during St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah, Georgia, it’s also one of the largest sites for those celebrating the spirit.

You’ll find live music and special booths in addition to the stores, restaurants and venues that line River Street.

Because of the number of attendees, there are also very specific rules and information to know.

2011 Festival Information

WHEN: Its official...the City of Savannah has set the dates for the annual Saint Patrick’s Day Festival. The council has designated March 17th, 18th and 19th as the festival days.

WHERE: Historic River Street

  • The event is free.
  • There will be no gated festival area this year or wristbands.
  • River Street will be closed to traffic throughout the festival.

Rules and Regulations to Know About:

  • For 2011 - Wristbands will not be required
  • Packages are subject to examination
  • No food or beverages, bottles, cans, coolers, weapons or other illegal items are permitted within the festival site
  • No pets, in-line skates, skateboards, bicycles or wagons
  • Disorderly, dangerous or disruptive behavior will result in arrest/ or ejection
